What Happened?
In 2006, Vinita Tiwari, a dedicated social activist from Indore, established ‘Kanha’, a pre-primary school within the Mandaliya Jail. This school was created to provide early education to children residing with their incarcerated mothers.
The initiative was inspired by Vinita’s deep empathy after witnessing the challenges faced by these children during a Raksha Bandhan event in 2002. Since its inception, ‘Kanha’ has been offering a semblance of normalcy and a foundation for the future to these children.
