On April 16, 2025, communities across Ireland participated in the annual Good Friday Clean-Up, a nationwide initiative aimed at enhancing environmental stewardship and fostering community spirit.
In Limerick City and County, approximately 25,000 volunteers engaged in this effort, making it Ireland’s largest one-day clean-up event. Organized by the Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC), this initiative focused on collecting litter from streets, parks, and other public spaces.
The event was featured on RTÉ ONE’s program Nationwide, highlighting the collective dedication of the volunteers.
